WHAT IF HOTELS ARE SOLD OUT?

Since May is high-season it might be difficult to get a hotel room. Airbnb is a great alternative offering apartment rentals in Copenhagen. We recommend you to stay in one of the following neighbourhoods:
  • City Centre (and Christianshavn) that is known as the historical heart of Copenhagen. Here you will find characteristic old houses and charming narrow streets full of life.
  • Inner Østerbro is the more peaceful and relaxed yet chic area of Copenhagen - a pleasant combination of cosy cafés and green areas close to the pulsating city life.
  • Vesterbro, the urban hip part of Copenhagen exudes creativity. Here you will find everything from art studios to cafés and small exceptional shops.
  • Nørrebro, a prosperous multicultural area, also known as one of the hippest neighbourhoods in Copenhagen.
  • Frederiksberg C is where you will find a mix of grand old houses, broad beautiful streets with trees and small exclusive shopping streets with carefully selected shops.
  • Islands Brygge is a unique, central waterfront area with an interesting mix of old and new architecture, still rapidly growing.
Go to airbnb’s website to see all the apartment rentals available in the Copenhagen areas.

WHERE TO EAT

Copenhagen has a wide range of restaurants offering everything you could possibly desire.

Among these are a lot of different organic restaurants that serve either an entirely or largely organic menu. Enjoy a delicious organic meal at BOB located in the hip Meatpacking District, organic gourmet pizzas and cocktails at Neighbourhood in Vesterbro or organic family style dishes at Manfreds located on Nørrebro’s cosy street Jærgersborggade.

Be sure to drop by Copenhagen’s popular street food market on the Paper Island and experience the unique atmosphere and taste delicious organic street food from the small colorful food trucks. The food market at Torvehallerne is definitely also worth a visit - here you will find more than 60 small carefully selected stands that sell food, snacks, drinks and flowers of all sorts.

If you want to spend a fancy evening out, visit one of Copenhagen’s multiple Michelin Star restaurants with Restaurant AOC, Noma and Geranium as three of the most popular. Noma has been ranked as the best restaurant in the world four times in the past five years and the organic restaurant Geranuim just received three Michelin Stars, which according to Michelin is “worth travelling to”.
