Javier Seara


Sector lead of fashion/apparel | Boston Consulting Group

Javier Seara joined The Boston Consulting Group in 2004. He is the global leader of BCG’s Fashion/Apparel sector and member of leadership team of BCG’s Social Impact practice. 
 
Seara’s client work at BCG covers all steps of the value chain in fashion and apparel retail. It includes brand identity and repositioning, shopping experience, product development, and sourcing. In his role as Sector Lead, Seara supports teams across the world on reorganization projects of fashion brands and the growth strategies for leading multi-brand apparel retailers. Seara is author of several studies on the apparel sector and is regularly quoted in industry publications and press. 
Seara is particularly passionate about transforming and improving the Fashion industry, creating awareness and actively supporting clients in exploring alternative ways of working. Seara is a believer that the business case of sustainability is viable and that it is an opportunity for the industry to do things differently. Those that develop novel approaches and reinvent their business models will more easily be able to create new revenue streams and establish lasting advantage.

As part of BCG’s Social Impact activities, Seara works with organizations in the humanitarian and non-profit sector. For the last ten years, he has collaborated with the United Nations in several development topics.
