Ulla Tørnæs
Minister for Development Cooperation of Denmark
Ulla Tørnæs is the Minister for Development Cooperation of Denmark, a cabinet position under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs responsible for Denmark’s work promoting sustainable economic development abroad. She has served in this role since 2016 and previously from 2005 to 2010 but has also been the Minister for Higher Education and Science. Tørnæs has a long parliamentary career representing the Liberal Party of Denmark and she has also served as a Member of the European Parliament from 2014 to 2016.
Furthermore, Tørnæs was member of the management committee Plan Denmark from 2010-2013.
